A Young Leader Making an Impact
At the Springfield Boys & Girls Club, we believe every young person has the ability to lead, grow, and make a difference. This year, we are proud to recognize Gabriel as our Youth of the Year.
A Club member since 2017, Gabriel has grown into a confident, respectful, and dependable young leader who consistently sets a positive example for his peers.
Growth Through Opportunity and Support
Gabriel is currently a student at Putnam Academy, where he is finishing his sophomore year. He plans to attend Springfield Technical Community College to study Auto Repair Technology.
Alongside his academic goals, Gabriel remains actively involved at the Club and continues to give back to his community through service and leadership.
One of the most meaningful parts of his journey has been his personal growth in communication and confidence. With support from Club staff, Gabriel strengthened his English skills while participating fully in programs and activities.
He often reflects on how important that support was in helping him feel comfortable and included.

Leading by Example
Gabriel is known for his humility, respect, and willingness to help others. Whether volunteering in the community or supporting younger Club members, he leads through his actions.
Staff describe him as someone who is dependable, respectful, and always ready to step up when needed.
His leadership continues to grow both inside and outside the Club.
Recognized for Leadership Across Massachusetts
Earlier this year, Gabriel joined Youth of the Year honorees from across Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium, where they were recognized for their achievements and leadership.
This experience celebrated not only his accomplishments but also the dedication and growth that brought him to this moment.
