Springfield Boys & Girls Club members recently took part in an exciting, hands-on STEM experience featuring robotics and LEGO building activities designed to spark creativity and curiosity.
Exploring STEM Through Robotics and LEGO

Through an interactive Robotics Educational Demo and a “Brick by Brick” LEGO build challenge, youth explored the basics of science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and engaging way. They learned how robotics and engineering work in real life while building important skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking.
The activities encouraged participants to experiment, create, and collaborate as they worked through challenges and explored how things are built and programmed. For many youth, it was their first time getting a closer look at how STEM connects to everyday life and future career possibilities.
Building Confidence and Future Skills
Experiences like these play an important role in youth development by helping young people build confidence, stay curious, and discover new interests that can shape their future goals.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this STEM learning opportunity possible and for continuing to support hands-on, enriching programs for our youth.
