The Springfield Boys & Girls Club is proud to welcome Colin Lockhart as our new Program Director.
Colin joins the Club from Nichols College, where he served as Men’s Basketball Coach and Admissions Ambassador. A Western Massachusetts native, Colin brings a strong background in youth development, leadership, mentorship, and community engagement—along with a passion for helping young people succeed.
A Leader Focused on Youth Development
When we began our search for a Program Director, we were looking for someone who could connect with young people, support our staff, and help strengthen the programs that impact our members every day.
From the very beginning, Colin stood out.
Throughout the interview process, he impressed us with his vision for the future of the Springfield Boys & Girls Club and his commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for children and teens. His ideas, enthusiasm, and understanding of youth development made him a clear fit for both our mission and our community.
More importantly, Colin understands that a Boys & Girls Club is about much more than activities and programs. It’s about creating a safe, supportive environment where young people can build confidence, discover new interests, develop friendships, and prepare for successful futures.
Helping Shape the Future of the Springfield Boys & Girls Club
As Program Director, Colin will oversee the planning and implementation of programs that serve hundreds of local youth each year. From sports and recreation to education, leadership development, arts, and enrichment activities, he will help ensure that every Club member has access to experiences that inspire growth and learning.
His experience working with students and athletes has equipped him with the ability to motivate young people, build strong relationships, and create positive environments where everyone can thrive.
