International Dance Day

The first international dance day was back in 1982, created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI). This is a day to celebrate those who can see the value and importance of the art form “dance”.

The Goals of International Dance Day:

• Promote dance in all its forms across the world
• Make people aware of the value of dance in all its forms
• Enable the dance community to promote their work on a broad scale
• To enjoy dance in all its forms for its own sake
• To share the joy of dance with others
