Gingerbread House Day

Nothing sparks the holiday feeling quite like the smell of gingerbread baking. The first gingerbread house was actually a result of the well-known Grimm’s fairytale “Hansel and Gretel”. German bakers began creating ornate decorated fairy-tale houses of gingerbread. When the tradition was brought to America the gingerbread houses became part of the Christmas time festivities!
